●Description

IDEABOND 8800 SUPER WEATHERPROOF SILICONE SEALANT is a one-part, neutral-cure, architectural grade sealant specifically designed for glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facade.

●Characteristic

a. Can be easily used and extruded in the application of sealing, assembling, waterproofing hardware products, and have long term durability. 

b.One-part, multi-functional, excellent performance and Neutral cure suitable for the applications on most construction materials. 

c. Excellent adhesion to most construction materials without primmer. Such as Glass, coated glass, aluminum products, ceramics, concrete, steel, etc. 

d. Excellent weather ability, virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone or temperature extremes.

●Where to use

IDEABOND 8800 is especially designed for glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades. It is suitable for glazing weatherproofing movement joint and sealing the joints of the non-structural curtain wall.

●Use limitations

IDEABOND 8800 silicone Weatherproofing sealant is not fit for structural usage. It should NOT be applied in the following conditions:

a. To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents and green or partially sulfur zed gaskets or tapes, etc.

b. In totally confined spaces (Silicon sealant need the water in the air to cure)

c. No use for frosting or Moist surfaces. And the place always have water. 

d. No construction while material surface temperature lower than 4℃，or higher than 40℃.

●Material feature

IDEABOND 8800 Super Silicone Weatherproof sealant can keep good performance and good flexibility at  -50℃ to 120℃ after cured. It is unaffected by UV ray, rain, ice, snow, air pollution, ozone and high or low temperature.

●Colors

White, black, grey, brown. Or other customized colors.

●Packing

It is available in 300ml plastic cartridges, 24 cartridges/ carton.

Or 590ml aluminum sausages, 20 sausages /carton.

●Storage and Shelf life

When stored at dry and airy, 27℃ or lower temperature conditions in the original unopened container, IDEABOND 8800 has a shelf life of 10 months from the date of manufacture.

●Safety Instruction

Avoid contacting with eyes before curing, otherwise, rinse the eyes with plenty of water, and go for doctor. no touch by children before curing. Attention for a good ventilation during applying and curing of the silicone sealant to avoid the influence on human body. 

●Maintain

Normally No need for maintain, while the silicone sealant damage, just use the solvent to clean the surface and use the new silicone sealant to fill it.  

●Compatibility test

For different customized applications, Before application, Customer have to do a Compatibility testing between the recommended silicone sealant and the materials  to make sure a good performance.
