●Description

IDEABOND 998 AQUARIUM SILICONE SEALANT is a one-part, acetic, 100% silicone. Specifically designed for construction of aquariums and large size glass glazing and curtain wall adhesive construction

●Characteristic

It has good features as follow:

a. Can be easily used and extruded any time.

b. Acetic cure: To float glass, anodized aluminum material needn't base coating, has a strong felt power.

c. Excellent weather ability and stability.

d. High modulus, as cured, it can bear joint movement capability of ±25%.

●Where to use

IDEABOND 998 Aquarium Silicone Sealant is designed for use in following such as Aquarium, big board glass seal, glass glazing curtain walls sealing and joint.

●Use limitations

IDEABOND 998 aquarium silicone sealant should not be applied in the following conditions:

a. To all spaces that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents such as wood immersed in oil, oil crack filler, and some uncured or sulfurized fat, it should NOT be applied.

b. To the unventilated space (Silicone sealant need the water in the air to cure)

c. To the circumstances as immersed in water for a long time, underground all the year

d. To painted surfaces, may cause seal failure as the paint cracking or paint stripping

e. Frost or wet surfaces

●Material feature

DEABOND 998 Aquarium Silicone Sealant can keep good viscidity and can easily extrude between -25℃ to 50℃; Can keep good flexibility  between -50℃ to 150℃ after cured.

●Colors

Clear, others as per required.

●Packing

It is available in 300ml plastic cartridges, 24 cartridges/ carton.

●Storage and usable life

When stored at dry and airy, 27℃ or lower temperature conditions in the original unopened container, IDEABOND 998 has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
